Gratsi

Privacy policy · Effective July 25, 2026

Gratsi has no accounts, in-app ads, or cross-app tracking. Receipts, financial amounts, merchants, saved places, searches, coordinates, and precise location are not sent to Gratsi analytics. Limited usage analytics are optional and remain off unless you choose to share them.

Information stored on your device

Saved calculations, preferences, selected places, and the data used by the optional Home Screen widget are stored locally on your device and may be included in device backups you control through Apple. You can clear saved history inside the app. Deleting the app deletes its locally stored data, subject to any device backups you maintain.

Receipt scanning

Receipt images are processed on your device using Apple’s Vision framework. Gratsi does not upload receipt images, recognized receipt text, merchants, bill amounts, tips, taxes, or service-fee amounts to its analytics service.

Location and nearby search

Gratsi requests location only when you choose Nearby. Apple Maps receives the search area under Apple’s privacy policy. If you save a selected place, its name and map coordinates stay on your device so you can reopen it later. Gratsi does not send them to its own servers or analytics service. You can deny or revoke location access in iOS Settings, and the rest of the app remains usable.

Optional usage analytics

If you choose Share Usage Analytics, Gratsi sends limited product-use, reliability, device, and Apple Ads attribution events to PostHog Cloud US using a random identifier for this app installation.

The optional events may include:

The short-lived Apple attribution token is never stored or sent to PostHog. Analytics never include receipt contents or images, financial amounts, merchants, saved places, searches, coordinates, precise location, contacts, account information, or advertising identifiers. Gratsi disables IP-based geolocation and configures PostHog to discard client IP data. Analytics are not linked to your identity, sold, or used to target advertising or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Apple Ads attribution

If you have opted into usage analytics, Gratsi may ask Apple whether an Apple App Store ad led to this installation. This direct Apple service does not require the advertising identifier and does not display an App Tracking Transparency prompt. The resulting campaign details are used only to measure which ads led to product use, not to target ads or follow activity in other apps or websites.

Your analytics choice

Analytics remain off until you make a choice. You can enable or disable them at any time in Gratsi under Settings > Privacy > Share Usage Analytics. Disabling analytics stops new events, cancels pending analytics requests, removes the random analytics identifier and cached Apple Ads attribution from your device, and stops future collection. Previously received events may remain in PostHog for the service’s configured retention period.

Service providers

PostHog processes optional analytics on Gratsi’s behalf in its US Cloud environment. PostHog is not permitted by Gratsi to use this data for advertising or cross-app tracking. Apple separately processes App Store, Apple Ads attribution, device, crash, Maps, and system analytics data under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. Cloudflare serves this website and processes ordinary network request data needed to deliver and protect it; Gratsi does not add cookies, advertising pixels, or cross-site trackers to this site.

Children

Gratsi has no accounts or in-app social features. Its optional analytics are limited as described above and are not used to identify users, including children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Gratsi’s features or privacy practices change. Material changes will be described plainly and this page’s effective date will be updated before the relevant app version is released.
